About me

Most of my life has been dedicated to honor life and love... it has become the main subject of my photography work since its origins. San Miguel de Allende is my home, but Weddings have taken me to travel around the world. I’ve had the privilege to work and collaborate with Top Wedding Planners from the East Coast and Mexico: Easton Events / Charlottesville, Talbot Ross / Puerto Vallarta, Penzi / San Miguel de Allende, San Miguel Weddings, Alexandra Bañuelos (San Miguel de Allende), among others.

Life has been generous to me, granting me the opportunity to attend workshops by Top Wedding Photographers in the States: Eric Kelley / Wedding Film Photography, and as second shooter with Jen Fariello, Elisa Bricker and Patricia Lyons.

brief background

Born to a music composer, since a young age Erik has been involved in the performing arts, attending Theatre career at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM / CUT). He has performed a variety of roles in the film industry, having been founding partner of a few Production Companies in Mexico City. His proximity to visual arts made Erik an active devotee of photography, growing to a professional image creator developing advertising imagery for contemporary dance and theatre projects, as well as covering several international opera productions at the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City, where he held his first official Photography Exhibition.

Since those early days, Erik has ventured in a wide range of photographic fields, including: architecture, fashion, portrait and photojournalism. Erik has specialized in Wedding Photography, having attended several workshops in Mexico and in the United States, being hired to shoot Destination Weddings throughout the country, the US and Europe.

Erik has collaborated in different print media, art books and magazines, producing covers and fashion editorials in Mexico and in the US. His work has also been publicized in 4 different books, sticking out a large series of portraits of outstanding characters and his particular sensibility to capture real-live events in photojournalism.

His photographic work has made him travel through most states within Mexico, and around several international destinations, including: Oslo, Frankfurt, Milan, London, Charleston, Charlottesville, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
